If the user can not provide the password or the password she/he entered was incorrect, Internet Lock blocks the connection and the program will be denied from accessing internet.

  • Web browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox and so on.
  • Email clients: Outlook, Outlook Express...
  • FTP programs.
  • MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger etc.
  • Any other internet programs.

Deny any internet program from accessing internet.

Not only can it password protect internet programs, but also Internet Lock can deny those programs from accessing internet directly. A program will not be allowed to access internet if you blocked it by using Internet Lock.

Any program can be protected by Internet Lock: Web browsers, Email clients, FTP programs, Instant Messengers...

Protects any kind of internet programs.

If you want to protect the web browsers, it's not enough to just protect the Internet Explorer, because users can still use other web browsers to access internet, like the Firefox. So you protect the Firefox, but what about the other web browsers (AOL, Opera...)? What about the browsers that will be released after you protected those known browsers?

Internet Explorer, Firefox, AOL, Opera...Those software are all web browsers, We must have a way to simply protect them all and should never worry about the new-released browsers. The same problem also will happen to the email client programs (Outlook, Outlook Express...).

Internet Lock can protect any kind of programs. If you let it to protect all web browsers, then it will protect all known and unknown, existed and coming web browser programs. If you let it to protect all email clients, then it will protect Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird and so on.

Deny all programs from accessing internet, only allow the programs you specified.

By changing its default action to "deny the connection", Internet Lock will deny all internet programs from accessing internet, only the programs you allowed will be able to access internet.

Limit users to access certain web sites.

Internet Lock supports to assign IP/Domains to rules. You can control Internet Lock to allow users to access only the web sites you specified, block or password protect other web sites (domains).

Example: Limit users to access only google.com:

  1. [Allow] [Any Program] on [google.com:Any Port]
  2. [Deny] [Any Program] on [Port 1-65535]

Prevent users from accessing certain web sites.

Example: Deny a domain:

  • [Deny] [Any Program] on [MyWebSite.com:Any Port]

Use internet time for schedule options.

Internet Lock can be configured to use the internet time for schedule options, which will get the correct date time from internet time servers. Users can not bypass the protection provided by the schedule enabled rules by changing the computer time.

How does it work?

Internet Lock works with "RULES", you control its works by adding rules to it. A rule will password protect/deny/allow one or more programs from accessing internet. You also can use the easy-to-use wizard to help you to protect programs and connections, the wizard can add rules automatically for special purposes such as "Password Protect All Web Browsers" and so on.

Rule Examples:

  1. Password protect Internet Explorer:
    [Deny] [C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE] on [Port 80]
  2. Password protect all web browsers:
[Password Protect] [Any Program] on [Port 80]
  3. Allow email clients from receiving emails:
[Allow] [Any Program] on [Port 110]
  4. Deny FTP programs:
[Deny] [Any Program] on [Port 21]
  5. Deny all programs from accessing google.com:
[Deny] [Any Program] on [google.com: Any Port]

Multiple Rules:

Your can add as many rules as you want. Especially you can use several rules to control a set of programs or even a single program.

Allow Internet Explorer but deny all other web browsers:
1. [Allow] [C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE] on [Any Port]
2. [Deny] [Any Program] on [Port 80]

Allow email client programs to receive emails only:
1. [Allow] [Any Program] on [Port 110]
2. [Deny] [Any Program] on [Port 25]

Users will only be allowed to access MyWebSite.com:
1. [Allow] [Any Program] on [MyWebSite.com:Any Port]
2. [Deny] [Any Program] on [Port 1-65535]

Schedule Options:
